Age: 11+

This unique game stands out among the traditional and dry ones out there. It boasts cute and cartoonish graphics (which may appeal to your tween!). Kids flex their math muscles as they solve puzzles in this engaging game.

Splash Math

This fun and interactive app lets kids practice math at their own pace. They can work on skills like addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. A coin identifying game, for example, lets students tap on coins to flip them to see the other side.

Counting Caterpillar
Age: 3+

Kids will get the basics of counting by ones here. Then they’ll learn the concept of skip counting by 2, 5, and 10. Take it a step further with the app, which also teaches your child how to recognize and name numbers 1 to 10, write and trace numbers, and add and subtract, all using fun mats and tiles.

Math Videos for Kids

This site has been described as Netflix for online learning. Choose from 10,000 free math videos on topics like algebra, geometry, calculus, and trigonometry. Videos feature lessons by tutors who offer varied approaches to the same topics. This method allows students to learn how to solve problems differently.

Khan Academy Kids

Adorable animal characters will teach your kids math. Your little learner will get a personalized learning path so he can tackle activities and lessons at his own, individualized pace. New content is added constantly, too.

Math Board Games for Kids

Rat-a-Tat Cat
Age: 6+

In Rat-a-Tat Cat, less is always better; you want the lowest score. As children play the game, they develop a sense of timing and an understanding of basic but essential math concepts. They learn how to remember their cards and to figure out which ones others might have. The game requires skill, strategy, and awareness.

Mobi Math

This strategy game challenges kids (and adults!) to play with numbers. The goal of the game is to make math equations quickly. The winner is first person to connect the tiles in a crossword-style grid. Kids will boost their skills in sequence, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Zingo! Number Bingo! 1-2-3
