Join an educator to learn all about seine fishing and learn all about the aquatic organisms that call Jones Bay home. Seine fishing employs a large net (seine) with two poles. Two people stand parallel to the shore, each holding one pole. As it sweeps the water, the net catches aquatic organisms. After surveying these organisms, they will be returned to the bay. The Barnyard admission includes a Musical Hayride tour of the 100-acre farm and famous pig races. Long Island Bluegrass & Roots Music Festival

The Long Island Bluegrass & Roots Music Festival is an afternoon of traditional Bluegrass, Americana, and Roots Music, plus workshops, food and beverage vendors, and fun! There is also a hosted 'Jam Area' for those who play bluegrass music on any level and want to bring an instrument so they can join in during the afternoon.
The 2022 Line-Up features local and regional acts as well as national touring artists, providing a day of new music discovery along with well-loved favorites in a friendly atmosphere. To cap off the 20th-Year Celebration, there will be an evening dance party featuring Long Island’s own Gene Casey & The Lone Sharks after the headline act, Compton & Newberry, at approximately 7pm.
