Going to a rollerblading or roller skating rink near Rockland County isn't just a great way for kids to be active and stay healthy. Roller skating it’s also a fun, inexpensive pastime that the whole family can enjoy. Whether it's rainy, too cold to play outside, or it's too hot to handle the sweltering summer, here’s a list of roller skating places in Orange County, Westchester County, and New Jersey. 1. The Castle Fun Center

The Castle Fun Center is the perfect destination for roller skating recreation for all ages and every occasion. The venue not only features a 10,000-square-foot roller rink complete with a lighting and sound show, but also go-kart tracks, a multi-level laser tag arena, mini-golf courses, an arcade, and rock climbing wall. Once you have worked up an appetite, enjoy a bite to eat at Jester’s restaurant and pub which is conveniently located within the facility.

EJ Murray Memorial Skating Center offers roller skating sessions May-August. With everything from first-time roller skating lessons and roller skating classes, to roller sports, figure skating, hockey, skating clubs, and an ice-skating show, the kids are sure to stay active and engaged.

Head to Branch Brook Park for public skating and lessons, themed skate nights set to the best music, STEM field trips, special holiday weekend skating events, arcade games, and more. The rink features a refurbished interior.

3. Florham Park Roller Rink

Hours: The rink is closed for the month of August for building maintenance, but aims to reopen in September.

This rink specializes in beginner group lessons, private lessons, and figure skating. There’s even a figure skating team! Birthday parties will resume in September when the rink opens again after August maintenance.
