"The ABC's of Covid19: A CNN/ Sesame Street Town Hall for Kids and Parents" will feature experts, like Dr. Gupta and Sesame Street Muppets including Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Rosita, and Grover. Sesame Street's Alan Muraoka and Rosemarie Truglio, Ph.D., SVP of curriculum and content for Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit educational organization behind Sesame Street, will also be featured on the ABC's of COVID-19. The team will discuss issues like summer safety, play dates, schooling, and how families around the world are creatively coping during this time

The ABC's of COVID-19 is part of Sesame Workshop's new Caring for Each Other initiative, which launched in March as a response to the unprecedented uncertainty families are facing right now in the wake of coronavirus. The initiative provides free content designed to help parents provide a "for now normal" and to comfort their children, manage anxiety and foster educational playtime at home. The free resources and ideas encourage your family to find ways to breathe, laugh, and play together during these scary times. Some  Caring for Each Other resources you can find include:

  • Sesame Street themed coloring and activity pages
  • Step by Step Sesame Street hand washing guides
  • Singalongs with Elmo
  • Cookie Monster Snack Chats
  • Encouraging messages for parents
  • Sneezing and coughing safely with Grover
  • Freeze dance with Abby Cadabby

The resources are regularly updated to meet the needs of families as the ever changing situation continues to evolve.
