Center Offers Fun New Classes for Family

Tutor Time Child Care Center at Lindenhurst and Family Time Fitness combines childcare with a fitness facility in three floors where kids can learn karate, do gymnastics, skate, climb a three-tiered playground, and play in the multi-purpose room, the GaGa pit. Meanwhile, parents can take advantage of Zumba lessons, aerobics, and more.

On January 14, this Lindenhurst center will host an open house for Tutor Time and Family Time Fitness to introduce new programs geared for the whole family: Kids on the Move (ages 6-11), Zumba, and Babylon Boot Camp for adults, skating and gymnastics for kids, and yoga for all. A Mommy and Me class also begins this month.

Opened last summer, Tutor Time and Family Time Fitness makes parents' lives a little less hectic by offering a convenient one-stop for parents.

"We not only provide child care, we also provide a place for fitness," says Lori Beltrani, one of the owners. "Before they pick up their children, parents can do workouts (upstairs). You do not need to have a child enrolled at Tutor Time to take advantage of any one of our fitness classes."

During the summer when public schools are closed, local camps and childcare centers visit Family Time Fitness for field trips, serving small to large groups.

The facility also hosts birthday parties for children centered on skating, dodge ball in the GaGa pit and the three-tier climbing playground. In the past, the center has hosted dance, gymnastics, crafts, and design your own theme parties. Birthday party packages are all inclusive, including pizza and juice.
