South Street Seaport Presents Free Fridays

Join the historical museum every Friday this summer for free admission.


South Street Seaport Museum is excited to announce its 2018 Free Fridays program, presented by The Howard Hughes Corporation. Join the historical seaport conservation every Friday this summer from July 6 to mid-September between the hours of 3:00pm and 7:00pm for free admission to the museum’s exhibitions and historic ships. 

The South Street Seaport Museum is located at 12 Fulton Street in lower Manhattan otherwise known as the heart of New York City’s historic Seaport district. Designated by Congress as America’s National Maritime Museum, South Street Seaport Museum prides itself on its preservation and interpretation of the great history of New York as a vital port city.

The museum houses exciting exhibition galleries and educational spaces as well as working nineteenth century print shops and an active fleet of historic vessels that all work to tell the tale of “where New York begins." The museum is appropriate for people of all ages, so bring your family and friends along to learn about the birth of New York and its role in the development of maritime trade and advances.

South Street Seaport Museum is easily accessible by both subway (2, 3, 4, 5, A, C, J, Z to Fulton Street Station) and bus (M15, M15-SBS to Fulton Street. Downtown Connection to Pearl Street and Fulton Street).

Being that the museum is located in a historical district, please contact the museum prior to your arrival in regards to any accessibility needs.
