Lisa Jo Rudy is the mother of a teenaged son with autism.  Since 2005, she has been researching, writing, speaking, and consulting on autism-related topics as the About.com Autism Expert, the author of the book "Get Out, Explore and Have Fun" (Jessica Kingsley, 2010), and an specialist in autism and community inclusion.  She has worked with museums, YMCAs, schools, and foundations to create educational and training materials and other tools to help people with autism and their families get the most out of life.
